Durham Dog Park

Durham now has TWO Dogparks !!
Check out what every dog's been barking about. .

. Dogapalooza Park at Pineywood Park:

1 Park... 4 separate fenced-in areas!

Pineywood Park is located at the intersection of Woodcroft Parkway and Woodlake Drive. The park consists of more than 3 acres of land.

The 4 enclosed areas are:

  • Small dog area: For dogs 15” and smaller, 30 lbs. and under.
  • Large dog area: For dogs 15” and taller, 30 lbs. and over
  • Program area: This area is open to all, but also can be used for special playgroups, or an organized activity. For information and reservations, please call 560-4355.
  • Lagniappe (Cajun for something extra) area: A smaller version of the program area where if your dog(s) needs a ‘time out’ or if you would like to work one on one with him/her. This area is open to all.

  • Water fountains
  • Mutt mitt dispensers/waste receptacles
  • Benches
  • Kiosks
  • Northgate Park:

    Northgate Park is located off of Lavender Ave. (the old Jaycee ball field)

    Two enclosed areas:

    • “BIG Dog Field”: The original ball field: Fenced in area for big dogs 15” and taller, 30 lbs and over
    • “PUP Pen”: A fenced in area specifically for small dogs, 15” and smaller, 30 lbs and under

    Amenities:

    Water fountains
    Mutt mitt dispensers/waste receptacles
    Benches
    Kiosk

    To use the park, each dog is required to be registered. To complete the registration process, Please visit our Registration Link.
